The three major U.S. stock indexes opened higher, with Nvidia's stock price hitting a new high
At the opening of the US stock market, the Dow rose by about 240 points, the SP 500 index rose by 1.39%, and the Nasdaq rose by 2.05%. Nvidia (NVDA.O) surged more than 11% after its earnings report, reaching a new historical high. Boosted by Nvidia's performance, chip stocks in the US all rose: AMD (AMD.O) increased by over 5%, TSMC (TSM.N) rose by 3.2%, Intel (INTC.O), Amazon (AMZN.O), and Qualcomm (QCOM.O) all increased by around 2%.
