According to the Snapshot governance page, the Aave community voted in favor of the "Ethereum v2 Reserve Factor Adjustment" temperature check proposal. The proposal suggests periodically increasing the Aave v2 Ethereum reserve factor (RF) to incentivize users to migrate to Aave v3.
