Tesla CEO Elon Musk said earlier today that his artificial intelligence startup xAI will spend at least $9 billion to purchase 300,000 Nvidia B200 AI chips. xAI recently raised $6 billion, with a company valuation of about $18 billion. Although the chatbot Grok is currently the only product of xAI, the company plans to significantly expand its AI-related product portfolio by increasing investment in GPU clusters.
