Ripple to use Axelar as bridge protocol for EVM sidechain
Blockchain network XRP Ledger, supported by payment company Ripple, has revealed the official name of its upcoming sidechain as "XRPL EVM Sidechain" and stated that it will launch with Axelar as the exclusive bridging protocol. The interoperability platform Axelar will allow users to exchange their XRP for wrapped XRP (eXRP), which will also serve as the native token for Gas fees on the sidechain.
