Sei Labs releases Sei Giga white paper, aiming to become an EVM L1 blockchain supporting multiple proposers
According to the official announcement, Sei Labs has released the Sei Giga white paper, outlining the path for the Sei chain to become a Layer 1 Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) supporting multiple proposers. This plan adopts a parallel block proposal architecture, with key technical features including: 5 Ggas throughput, 200,000 TPS processing capability, 400-millisecond transaction final confirmation time, and a newly developed EVM execution client. In terms of technical architecture, Sei Giga achieves performance breakthroughs through an asynchronous state submission mechanism and the Autobahn consensus protocol, claiming a 50-fold increase in throughput compared to traditional solutions while maintaining compatibility with Ethereum smart contracts. Project co-founder Jay Jog stated that this design aims to meet the demand for high-performance underlying infrastructure for Web3 applications, and the core development phase has been completed.
