Upexi to Tokenize Nasdaq Stocks on Solana Blockchain with Superstate Support
2025/07/06 22:50- Upexi Share Tokenization Coming to Solana Blockchain
- Upexi to use Superstate’s Opening Bell platform
- Tokenized stock trading will be available 24/XNUMX via Solana
Upexi, a Nasdaq-listed company with the ticker UPXI, has confirmed plans to tokenize its shares via the Solana blockchain. The transaction will be carried out via Opening Bell, a Superstate platform registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that is focused on trading real-world assets with continuous settlement.
With this initiative, the company aims to expand investor access, reduce settlement times and integrate its shares with tools from the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. The proposal also seeks to increase the asset's liquidity by allowing trading 24 hours a day, every day of the week.
“Our goal is to accelerate settlement and make capital markets more accessible and transparent,” said Allan Marshall, CEO of Upexi. He said the partnership with Superstate provides a robust regulatory framework to leverage Solana’s speed and scalability advantages.
In a recent report, the company revealed that it currently holds 735.692 SOL, valued at approximately US$105 million — a higher amount than the 679.677 SOL registered in May. Investments in Solana began after a US$100 million private fundraising round led by GSR, aimed at structuring new treasury strategies.
The Opening Bell platform was launched on May 8th this year with the aim of enabling tokenized stock trading directly on Solana, standing out as a bridge between traditional markets and blockchain solutions.
Experts point out that the tokenization of shares paves the way for a transformation in the capital sector, by combining the familiarity of traditional assets with the efficiency and accessibility provided by blockchain technology.
Upexi thus joins a growing group of listed companies that are looking to tokenization and Solana for a new approach to capital management and access to liquidity.
