Wang Hongying: Reasons for the Rise of Hong Kong Stablecoin Concept Stocks Include Improved Regulatory Framework and Positive Digital Asset Development Trends
Foresight News – According to Beijing Business Today, Wang Hongying, President of the China (Hong Kong) Institute of Financial Derivatives Investment, stated that the recent sustained rise in Hong Kong-listed stablecoin concept stocks is mainly due to two factors. First, many overseas markets, including Hong Kong, have introduced regulations related to stablecoins, providing an important legal foundation to ensure the steady development of the stablecoin market and enabling more institutions to enter the stablecoin sector. Second, as stablecoins are an innovative data asset within the global digital economy, their linkage to stable corporate cash flows, sound operations, and blockchain encryption technology allows corporate assets to be traded and priced globally, which has led to a positive development trend in the stablecoin market.
Wang Hongying noted, “The development of the world economy is poised for an explosive trend in data assets. Various types of digital virtual assets, represented by stablecoins, are precisely in line with this trend, which will further expand the global trading scale of the stablecoin market. Against this backdrop, securities firms applying for virtual asset-related trading licenses can enhance the valuation, pricing, and trading of stablecoins and other virtual assets in the context of digital economic development, thereby driving business growth and scale.”
