BlockBeats News, August 8 — BAGS founder Finn spent 6.8 BTC (approximately $800,000) at auction to acquire the original hat from the Dogwifhat (the dog with a hat) meme.

The Shiba Inu named Achi is the prototype behind the "Dogwifhat" meme. This is the first and only time the physical hat from the meme has been made available to the public; the collectible has never been sold before and may never be offered for sale again. To ensure its authenticity and provenance, a photo of Achi and its owner sitting behind the hat was inscribed on the Bitcoin blockchain via Ordinals before the auction, serving as proof of origin.
