Overtake Teams Up with World to Introduce Proof-of-Human to the OVERTAKE Trading Market
When identity verification is combined with escrow payments, the transaction's reliability is significantly enhanced, with the potential to drive widespread user adoption and long-term market expansion.
· The Overtake Marketplace will adopt World ID human verification technology to enhance trust and security in escrow-based P2P transactions.
· World's "proof of human" technology helps reduce fraud and Sybil attack risks, while achieving a more user-friendly onboarding experience and privacy protection.
The Sui blockchain-based game asset P2P marketplace Overtake (OVERTAKE) has announced a partnership with the real-human network World and will introduce World ID into its marketplace login process. Overtake will gradually enable World ID login for seller onboarding and high-value or high-frequency transactions, integrating it with its 2-of-3 multi-signature escrow system to further strengthen the secure transaction environment. Users will be able to enjoy the existing "Web 2.5" experience (such as USDC instant settlement) while reducing the risk of Sybil attacks and bot accounts in a more secure P2P trading environment.
World is a human verification technology that confirms an individual's authenticity and uniqueness using advanced camera devices called Orbs—without revealing their specific identity. This year, World has expanded its presence in the United States, released the World App and World ID expansion plan, and announced integration partnerships with payment and social platform providers. The project has also added Orb verification points in major U.S. cities to expand user touchpoints.
Overtake is a Sui blockchain-based P2P trading marketplace that supports secure, low-fee transactions of in-game items, accounts, and currencies through multi-signature smart contract escrow. Its features include USDC instant settlement upon transaction completion, social account login, and Gas fee sponsorship, aiming to provide a "Web 2.5" user experience—bringing real-world Web 2 player needs into the on-chain economy, not just limiting to Web3 native users.
Overtake CEO Seunghwan Oh said, "The collaboration with World is not just a technical integration but a significant step towards the secure and trustworthy trading environment envisioned by Overtake. By introducing an identity verification system that Web2 players can trust, we hope to enhance market credibility and smoothly attract more new users."
This collaboration aligns with Overtake's vision of combining stablecoin payments and on-chain custody to ensure transaction security. It is expected to accelerate Overtake's strategic transformation of Web2 player needs into on-chain activity. Industry observers point out that when identity verification is combined with custody payments, transaction reliability significantly improves, with the potential to drive widespread user adoption and long-term market expansion. In the future, Overtake plans to further expand transaction categories, introduce partner games, and enhance localized payment and settlement functions to concurrently increase liquidity, trading volume, and user base.
