Pro-crypto lawyer John Deaton announces candidacy for the 2026 U.S. Senate race
ChainCatcher News, according to a report by Cryptopolitan, well-known cryptocurrency advisor and XRP-supporting lawyer John Deaton has announced that he will run for the U.S. Senate in 2026 as a representative of Massachusetts. If Republicans vote to support him, Deaton will receive the party’s nomination, which would be a significant boost for his November campaign. Unlike his previous campaign, cryptocurrency is not the foundation of his campaign platform this time.
The media analysis points out that Massachusetts presents a challenging political environment for Deaton, as voters in the state are among the most steadfast Democratic supporters in the country. In 2024, Deaton lost to Warren by nearly 20 percentage points.
