MegaETH CSO: Ethereum should focus on maintaining decentralization and not abandon these features for the sake of competition
Foresight News reported that MegaETH Chief Strategy Officer namik tweeted, "The value of MegaETH depends on the success of Ethereum. This means that Ethereum must serve as a highly decentralized settlement layer, thereby providing legitimacy for a more centralized block production model for MegaETH. My concern is: if the policy window shifts to support centralized L1s, then the original trade-off logic behind building MegaETH will lose its meaning. I believe Ethereum should focus on maintaining its decentralized nature, rather than sacrificing these characteristics to compete with fast, centralized L1s. At the same time, I think that for MegaETH to achieve true success, it must explore new design spaces in application scenarios that do not exist on Ethereum L1. This is indeed beneficial for both parties, but more importantly, it can prove the rationality of the architectural trade-offs."
