Foresight News reported that Japanese listed company Metaplanet will issue senior Class A preferred shares MARS, in a model similar to Strategy's STRC, to increase its bitcoin holdings. Last month, Metaplanet announced the issuance of Class B perpetual preferred shares MERCURY, raising approximately 15 billion yen (about 150 million USD) through the issuance of 2.361 billion shares at a price of 900 yen per share.
