According to ChainCatcher, citing Golden Ten Data, some analysts believe that the Federal Reserve may decide at today's meeting to begin expanding its holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds in order to ensure that the scale of bank reserves remains stable in line with economic growth. New York Fed President Williams stated that the Federal Reserve may soon enter a stage suitable for such operations, but restarting bond purchases is not a certainty.
