The two delved into discussions on the labor market and how to stimulate job growth. The interview took place at the White House and concluded shortly before Trump's national address on economic issues on Wednesday evening. Treasury Secretary Benson, White House Chief of Staff Wells, and Deputy Chief of Staff Scavino also attended the interview. Officials indicated that BlackRock executive Rick Rieder will be interviewed at Mar-a-Lago in the final week of the year.
They also noted that Federal Reserve Governor Bowman is no longer a candidate for the position.
