The victim of the 50 million USDT phishing attack left a message to the hacker: willing to offer a $1 million white hat bounty if the funds are returned within 48 hours.

PANews reported on December 20 that on-chain researcher Specter posted a message to the hacker from the address that lost 50 million USDT to phishing on the X platform. The message stated: A formal criminal lawsuit has now been filed, and with the assistance of law enforcement agencies, cybersecurity organizations, and multiple blockchain protocols, a large amount of actionable intelligence regarding the attacker's activities has been collected. The relevant wallet addresses are now under 24/7 surveillance. It is reported that the attacker has been requested to return 98% of the stolen assets to a designated address within 48 hours. If this is done, the attacker may keep 1 million USD as a white hat bounty, as a reward for discovering and disclosing the vulnerability; however, this proposal is contingent upon the attacker’s full and timely cooperation. Once the funds are returned, the victim will consider the matter settled and will not take any further action.
