Saturday, December 27, 2025 – Bitcoin is currently trading near $87.458,15, down 1% in the last 24 hours. The attempt to recover the BTC price towards the $89.000 range has lost momentum again, following a sudden rejection that sent the asset down by about three thousand dollars in a few minutes. This movement reinforced BTC's recent difficulty in sustaining gains when approaching this region.

In the days leading up to Christmas, the leading cryptocurrency fluctuated between $85.000 and $90.000. The period included a pullback to a local low of $84.400, recorded after the release of the US CPI (Consumer Price Index) for November, before the market reacted with a partial recovery over the weekend.
The following Monday, Bitcoin surpassed $90.400 for the first time in about a week, in a rally that initially seemed more solid. However, as in previous attempts, selling pressure quickly returned and pushed BTC down, bringing the price below $87.000.
With the holiday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day passed without major movements. On Friday, Bitcoin attempted a new surge, but failed to reach $90.000 and was rejected again. In less than an hour, the price fell to $86.500. There was a moderate reaction afterward, with the asset reducing some of the fall, but still accumulating a daily depreciation of 1,5%.
Bitcoin's market capitalization fell back below $1,750 trillion, while Bitcoin's dominance remained virtually stable at 57,5%, signaling that the decline was mirrored by most of the larger altcoins.
Ethereum also lost momentum before regaining $3.000 and returned to trading near $2.900, a level seen as immediate support to hold off the pullback. XRP retreated to near $1,85, falling below $1,90 after another daily drop. Among the larger cryptocurrencies, DOGE registered the weakest performance, followed by LINK.
On the opposite end, XMR and HYPE advanced moderately, while ZEC and RAIN stood out with double-digit gains. ZEC rose more than 13% and surpassed US$500, and RAIN approached US$0,008 after a daily gain of 10%.
Despite the pullback, the total cryptocurrency market capitalization remained above $3 trillion, even after losing about $40 billion from the previous day's peak.

VIPTradFi Focus: Where Does the RWA Market Stand Today?
1. Crypto outperformed traditional equity indexes following the rate hike, but elevated interest rates remain a key constraint on cross-asset allocation. From September 12 to 18, BTC, ETH, and SOL gained 4.83%, 3.84%, and 9.96%, respectively, while the S&P 500 edged down 0.08%. The U.S. Dollar Index rose 1.11%, and the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield closed at approximately 4.998%. Improving risk appetite is therefore coexisting with elevated discount rates, raising the bar for RWA allocation: investors need to compare not only returns on the underlying assets, but also on-chain liquidity and collateral efficiency. 2. Growth in tokenized equities is occurring even as the overall RWA market remains under pressure. As of September 18, Distributed Asset Value across RWAs stood at $38.503 billion, down 1.13% week over week, while tokenized equities reached $3.056 billion, up 6.03%. This week's data are better explained by capital reallocating across different RWA segments than by a broad-based expansion of the entire RWA market. 3. For exchanges, the opportunity lies in connecting spot holdings, collateral, and derivatives. Reality's distributed asset value stands at approximately $155 million, while eligible rTokens can already be used within Bitget's UTA margin framework. Across CoinGlass's verifiable sample of 177 TradFi instruments, open interest reached approximately $11.498 billion, up 2.06% week over week, even as weekly trading volume declined 7.60%. The medium-term opportunity remains intact, but deeper utilization will depend on liquidity, collateral use, and sustained trading activity. 4.Assets to watch: BTC, ETH, SOL, NEAR, ZEC, gold, tokenized U.S. equities, COST. 5.Key metrics to watch: rToken collateral utilization, the durability of TradFi open interest and trading volume, and next week's employment and consumer data.
