A certain wallet increased its assets from $5,000 to $133,000 in two months on Lighter by trading only ETH.
PANews, December 30 – According to MLM monitoring, a certain wallet deposited 5,000 USDC into Lighter about two months ago (October 24). By trading only ETH, its assets appear to have grown to approximately $133,000 (about 26.6 times / a return rate of approximately +2,560%). In the past 7 days, this address seems to have accounted for about 59% of the ETHUSD taker trading volume on Lighter ($1.72 billion), as well as about 9% of the total number of ETHUSD taker trades (about 115,000 trades).
According to Lighter's API and blockchain explorer data, this account appears to trade with zero fees, and aside from the initial $5,000, there is no indication of other funds being transferred in or deposited. Using a taker algorithm to trade and make profits does not in itself constitute wash trading, as wash trading requires matching trades with one's own orders. Given its initial scale, this performance is noteworthy.
