Forbes: Fed Rate Cut Expectations May Trigger Bitcoin Price Surge in 2026
According to Odaily, analysts have warned that the US Dollar Index is set to record its largest annual decline since 2017 in 2025, dropping nearly 10%. Driven by expectations of Federal Reserve rate cuts, the dollar is expected to continue weakening into 2026. James Knightley, Chief International Economist at ING, stated that the Federal Reserve remains in an accommodative mode. Although the minutes from the December meeting showed divisions among policymakers regarding the future path, Polymarket predicts a 96% probability of a rate cut before June. Timot Lamarre, Director of Market Research at Unchained, believes that accommodative monetary policy will be beneficial for bitcoin. Owen Lau, Managing Director at Clear Street, commented that rate cuts will be a key catalyst for attracting both retail and institutional investors into the crypto market in 2026.
