Golden Ten Data reported on January 3 that Colombia's Minister of Defense, Pedro Sánchez, stated via social media in the early hours of January 3 local time that all national public security forces in Colombia have been placed on alert to anticipate and thwart any potential terrorist attacks that may be planned and carried out by illegal armed organizations. He pointed out that, following President Petro's instructions, the Unified Humanitarian Aid Command (PMU) in the border city of Cúcuta and related border emergency plans have been fully activated, aiming to provide necessary services to migrant groups and offer all necessary support to those in need.
