Data: USDC market cap grew by 73% in 2025, surpassing USDT growth rate for the second consecutive year
According to ChainCatcher, citing CoinDesk, Circle Internet's (CRCL) US dollar-pegged stablecoin USDC has outpaced its main competitor Tether's USDT in growth rate for the second consecutive year in 2025.
Data shows that USDC's market capitalization grew by 73% in 2025, reaching $75.12 billion, while USDT's market capitalization increased by 36% to $186.6 billion. In 2024, USDC's growth rate was 77%, compared to USDT's 50%.
