Bitfarms: Appoints Edie Hofmeister as Board Chair
BlockBeats News, January 14th, Bitcoin mining firm Bitfarms announced the appointment of Edie Hofmeister as Chair of the Board, succeeding Brian Howlett, who has served as Chair since 2024 and will continue as an independent director. Bitfarms stated that this personnel change is part of the company's strategy to redomicile to the United States, aimed at increasing access to the U.S. capital markets, expanding the U.S. investor base, and enhancing eligibility for inclusion in certain stock indices.
In January, Bitcoin mining company Bitfarms sold its Latin American operations for $30 million, further transitioning into the AI and high-performance computing sector.
