US Stocks Movement | TSMC Surges Over 7% to a Record High, Q4 Net Profit Exceeds Expectations and Hits Historical High

Glonghui January 16th|TSMC (TSM.US), which was selected as one of Glonghui’s “Global Vision” Top Ten Core Assets for 2026, surged over 7% intraday to hit a record high, and finally closed up 4.44% at $341.64, with a total market capitalization of $1.77 trillion. On the news front, TSMC announced its results, showing that net profit for the fourth quarter increased by 35% year-over-year, setting a new record high and exceeding market expectations. The gross margin for the fourth quarter reached 62.3%, far surpassing market expectations. TSMC also issued strong guidance for 2026, expecting revenue to increase by another 30%. Analysts pointed out that TSMC's strong Q4 performance and the 2026 revenue guidance clearly signal that the AI boom will continue.
