Jinse Finance reported, citing The Wall Street Journal, that Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei predicts that artificial intelligence will drive significant economic growth, but may also trigger large-scale unemployment and social inequality. At the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday, Amodei stated that he is both "excited and concerned" about the impact of AI, noting: "People have almost no awareness of the scale of the upcoming changes and their impact." Amodei said that governments need to play a role in addressing the massive job losses brought by AI. He predicts that in the future, there may be a scenario where GDP grows by 5% to 10% while the unemployment rate reaches 10%. He pointed out: "This is a combination we have almost never seen before. With job losses on such a macroeconomic scale, governments must take action." He stated: "What needs more attention now is not hindering growth, but ensuring that everyone can share in the fruits of that growth."
