BlockBeats News, January 21st, the ETHGas Foundation announced that the GWEI Airdrop Checker is now live. The claiming will start on January 21st at 21:00 UTC+8, and claiming details will be notified through official Foundation channels.


Previously, the ETHGas Foundation disclosed the governance token GWEI's detailed allocation and vesting plan. The total supply is 10 billion tokens, distributed as follows: Ecosystem Allocation 31%, with a 10-year linear unlock; Investor Allocation 27%, including a 1-year cliff (10% immediate unlock at cliff) and 2-year linear unlock; Team Allocation 22%, including a 1-year cliff (10% immediate unlock at cliff) and 2-year linear unlock; Community Allocation 10%, with a 4-year linear unlock; Foundation Allocation 8%, unlocked on launch day; Advisor Allocation 2%, including a 1-year cliff (10% immediate unlock at cliff) and 2-year linear unlock.


Additionally, GWEI distributed through a community airdrop will automatically be staked for 30 days at launch to ensure early contributors' participation in governance. Holders can choose to lock GWEI from 1 week to 4 years to receive veGWEI.
