BlockBeats News, January 28, South Dakota State Representative Logan Manhart has reintroduced the Bitcoin Reserves Bill HB 1155, proposing to amend state law to allow the state investment council to invest up to 10% of public funds in Bitcoin. The bill is similar to its 2025 version that was proposed but postponed, with only minor modifications.
If passed and signed into law, South Dakota will join a few states that allow state-level allocation to Bitcoin, currently only Texas, Arizona, and New Hampshire have passed similar legislation. (Cointelegraph)
