Vitalik: Last year, I made $70,000 in profit from a $440,000 principal on Polymarket
Foresight News exclusive: Vitalik stated in an interview with Foresight News that he made $70,000 on Polymarket last year, with a principal of $440,000. Vitalik said his strategy is to look for markets that have entered a "crazy mode" and then bet that "crazy things won't happen." The segments Vitalik focuses on in Polymarket include politics, technology, and others.
Vitalik also mentioned potential oracle issues that may arise in prediction markets. He stated that there are mainly two paths to solve this problem: The first is a centralized model, which simply means trusting a company, such as Bloomberg, to provide you with accurate information. The second path is Token Voting, which is a decentralized model, with UMA being a representative of this approach. Recently, trust in UMA has been declining. Hopefully, in the future, we can find a better solution.
