US Wholesale Inventories See Modest Growth in November
According to data released by the US Census Bureau on Thursday, wholesale inventories in the United States edged up by 0.2% in November compared to the revised figures from the previous month, reaching a total of $915 billion. On an annual basis, this marks a 1.8% increase over the same period last year.
Merchant wholesalers reported sales of $714.1 billion, which reflects a 1.3% rise from October's adjusted numbers and a 5.2% jump compared to November of the previous year. The inventory-to-sales ratio for merchant wholesalers was recorded at 1.28, showing a decrease from the ratio observed a year earlier.
