The Senate Agriculture Committee passed the Digital Commodity Brokers Act, part of the broader Clarity Act for crypto market structure. This law establishes a CFTC regulatory framework for digital commodity exchanges, brokers, and dealers, focusing on assets such as memecoins and network tokens (excluding securities and stablecoins). Key provisions include SEC-CFTC joint rule-making, protection of client assets, registration requirements, federal priority, and developer exemptions.
