Kioxia and SanDisk extend joint venture agreement for Yokkaichi plant in Japan until 2034

Glonghui, January 30th｜On January 29th local time, Kioxia Holdings' subsidiary Kioxia Corporation and SanDisk announced that both parties have agreed to extend their joint venture agreement for the Kioxia Japan Yokkaichi Plant by five years. The agreement, originally set to expire on December 31, 2029, will now continue until December 31, 2034. In addition, the joint venture agreement for the Kioxia Kitakami Plant has also been extended in sync with the Yokkaichi Plant, now valid until December 31, 2034. As part of the renewal agreement, SanDisk will pay Kioxia $1.165 billion for manufacturing services and ongoing supply assurance. This payment will be made in installments between 2026 and 2029.
