Import and Export Price Trends in December 2025
In December 2025, import prices dropped by 2.3% compared to the same month in 2024, marking the most significant annual decline since March 2024, when prices fell by 3.6% year-on-year. The annual rate of decrease was -1.9% in November 2025 and -1.4% in October 2025. According to the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), import prices also edged down by 0.1% from November to December 2025.
Export prices, on the other hand, remained steady in December 2025, showing no change from December 2024. The annual growth rates for export prices were slightly positive in previous months, with a 0.3% increase in November and a 0.5% rise in October 2025.
