Jupiter’s requirement to import a mnemonic phrase to claim ASR rewards sparks community opposition; other wallet claiming options expected to open in 1-2 weeks.

According to Odaily, SolanaFloor posted on X that after Jupiter launched ASR rewards for stakers in Q4, it sparked strong opposition from the community. The reward requires users to import their mnemonic phrase into the Jupiter wallet in order to claim it via mobile or computer. Some users stated that forcing users to export their mnemonic phrase just to claim a small reward is both unnecessary and unsafe, and it also excludes users who use keyless wallets or custodial wallets.

In response to the criticism, Jupiter stated that it plans to enable the claiming function for other wallets within one to two weeks.
