Ethereum developer Christine D. Kim reminded in the latest briefing that the deadline for the Hegota upgrade proposal is February 4, 2026. The bals-devnet-2 testnet for Glamsterdam is scheduled to launch on February 4, and developers need to complete two Execution API pull requests before then. In addition, the epbs-devnet-0 testnet is expected to go live at the end of February and will include all changes from the latest consensus specification v1.7.0-alpha.2. On the technical side, client teams are developing the implementation of partial cell proofs to support a higher number of blobs on the Ethereum mainnet. Currently, related testing is being conducted on the blob-devnet-0 network, but the Prysm and Lighthouse clients are experiencing field response issues.
