Glencore plans to negotiate the sale of a 40% stake in a mining company in the Democratic Republic of Congo

Glonghui, February 4th｜Glencore plans to negotiate the sale of its 40% stake in copper and cobalt mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), with the combined enterprise value of the assets estimated at around $9 billion. The Orion Critical Mineral Consortium (Orion CMC), led by Orion Resource Partners and supported by the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, is seeking to acquire Glencore's stakes in Mutanda Mining and Kamoto Copper Company in the DRC.
