Glonghui, February 4th|Zhou Weiming, Co-Head of Asia Equity Capital Markets at Citigroup, stated that the Asia-Pacific equity capital markets (ECM) saw a comprehensive recovery last year, with issuance volume increasing by 27% to 294 billion USD, marking the fourth consecutive year of growth. He expects this year to continue to be a bumper year, with the region possibly seeing mega IPOs raising as much as 5 to 10 billion USD (approximately 39 to 78 billion HKD). It is anticipated that the Asia-Pacific ECM issuance volume may break the 2021 record of 369 billion USD.
