According to preliminary data released by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), December 2025 saw a 7.8% increase in real, price-adjusted new manufacturing orders compared to the previous month, after accounting for seasonal and calendar effects. Excluding major bulk orders, the growth was 0.9% month over month.
Looking at the broader trend, the less fluctuating three-month comparison revealed that new orders in the fourth quarter of 2025 were 9.5% higher than in the third quarter. Without large-scale orders, the increase over the same period was 2.5%. Revised figures also indicate that November 2025 experienced a rise in new orders.
