Malaysia's central bank plans to provide clearer guidance on the use of stablecoins and tokenized deposits by the end of 2026
Foresight News reported, citing Golden Ten Data, that the Central Bank of Malaysia stated that the testing will enable the central bank to assess the impact of (stablecoins and tokenized deposits) on monetary and financial stability, and provide a basis for policy direction in these specific areas. Clearer guidance on the use of ringgit stablecoins and tokenized deposits is expected to be provided by the end of 2026.
