According to Odaily, Polymarket official Rodrigo announced on Discord that the fee mechanism will be extended to college basketball (NCAA) and Serie A markets. The fee structure will be the same as the "15-minute crypto up/down market," meaning the taker pays the fee while the maker receives a rebate, but with different coefficients—a fee rate of 0.0175, an index of 1, and a 25% maker rebate, resulting in an overall lower cost.

Starting from 00:00 UTC on February 18, 2026 (Wednesday), all newly created NCAAB and Serie A related events after this time will be subject to the new fee mechanism. Existing events will not be affected. The first rebate distribution will take place at 00:00 UTC on February 19.
