What's Going On With Advance Auto Parts Friday?

Advance Auto Parts Inc. (NYSE: AAP) stock remained relatively flat on Friday after the auto parts retailer delivered a stronger-than-expected fourth quarter.

Quarterly Metrics

The company reported fourth-quarter adjusted earnings per share of 86 cents, beating the analyst consensus estimate of 42 cents.

Quarterly sales of $1.973 billion outpaced the Street view of $1.952 billion. The additional week in the fourth quarter of 2025 added approximately $132 million to net sales.

Advance Auto reported fourth-quarter comparable sales growth of 1.1% and said sales performance turned positive over the last eight weeks of the period.

Fourth-quarter 2024 net sales included about $74 million tied to stores that were closed in the first quarter of 2025.

Those closures were part of the company's optimization program under its 2024 Restructuring Plan.

Adjusted gross profit was $900 million, or 44.2% of net sales, compared with $800 million, or 39.0% in the fourth quarter of the prior year.

Adjusted operating income was $73 million or 3.7% of net sales, compared with a loss of $99 million or (5.0)% of net sales in the prior year quarter.

Advance Auto exited the quarter with cash and equivalents worth $3.123 billion.

Outlook

Advance Auto expects fiscal 2026 adjusted earnings of $2.40 to $3.10 per share, compared with analysts' estimate of $2.66.

The company forecasts sales of $8.485 billion to $8.575 billion, versus the $8.668 billion estimate.

AAP Price Action: Advance Auto Parts shares were down 0.11% at $58.15 at the time of publication on Friday.
