Industrial output decreased by 1.4% in the eurozone and by 0.8% across the EU
Industrial Production Trends in the Euro Area and EU – December 2025
According to preliminary figures released by Eurostat, the European Union’s statistical agency, industrial output in the euro area dropped by 1.4% in December 2025 compared to the previous month. Across the entire EU, production also saw a decline, falling by 0.8% over the same period.
Looking back to November 2025, the euro area experienced a modest increase of 0.3% in industrial production, while the EU as a whole recorded a slight decrease of 0.1%.
When comparing December 2025 to December 2024, industrial production rose by 1.2% in the euro area and by 1.4% in the EU. On an annual basis, average industrial output for 2025 was 1.5% higher than in 2024 for both regions.
