COMEX gold futures rose by 2.51%, closing at $5,122.80 per ounce, with a cumulative weekly increase of 1.52%. Spot silver surged by 7.81%, quoted at $84.6396 per ounce, with a cumulative weekly gain of 9.31%. COMEX silver futures jumped 8.61%, closing at $84.970 per ounce, with a cumulative weekly increase of 8.34%. COMEX copper futures rose by 2.26%, quoted at $5.9295 per pound, with a cumulative weekly gain of 1.60%. Spot platinum increased by 3.88%, quoted at $2,161.98 per ounce, with a cumulative weekly rise of 4.48%; spot palladium rose by 3.22%, quoted at $1,748.34 per ounce, with a cumulative weekly increase of 3.14%. (US Stocks) The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index closed up 2.13% at 431.67 points, with a cumulative weekly gain of 2.82%. (Global Session) The NYSE ARCA Gold Miners Index rose 1.41% to 3,024.14 points, with a cumulative weekly increase of 2.23%. (US Stocks) The Materials Index closed up 0.32%, and the Metals and Mining Index closed up 1.85%.
