U.S. Treasury yields opened higher but closed lower

The yield on the two-year US Treasury fell by 1.89 basis points to 3.7763%; the yield on the 30-year US Treasury fell by 1.12 basis points to 4.8979%. The yield spread between the 2-year and 10-year US Treasuries widened by 0.129 basis points to +51.683 basis points. The yield on the 10-year Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) fell by 2.82 basis points to 1.8960%; the yield on the two-year TIPS fell by 4.00 basis points to 0.8507%; the yield on the 30-year TIPS fell by 0.71 basis points to 2.6532%.

According to the latest client fund flow data from Bank of America, last week its clients recorded a net purchase of U.S. stocks for the second consecutive week, with the inflow reaching the highest level since mid-July. This marks the sixth largest single-week net inflow since the bank began tracking weekly data in 2008.
