Foresight News reports that Ethereum developer Tom Lehman has released a draft proposal for EIP-8182, aiming to make private transfers a native feature of the Ethereum protocol. The core design includes: deploying a shared shielded pool at a fixed address on the Ethereum protocol layer; adding precompiled contracts for ZK proof verification; upgrading only via hard forks, with no admin keys or governance tokens, maintaining Ethereum’s existing trust model.
