Altman says his confidence in UBI has weakened, WLD down more than 98% from its peak
According to Odaily, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated on a podcast that his belief in universal basic income (UBI) has weakened compared to before, and he now favors distributing AI-generated benefits through models such as "collective ownership."
Meanwhile, the cryptocurrency project World (formerly Worldcoin) promoted by him currently has its token WLD priced at approximately $0.25, down more than 98% from its all-time high of $11.82 in March 2024. Data shows that the World Foundation previously sold around 239 million WLD, cashing out approximately $65 million.
