Ethereum Application Guild (EAG) established to build a global collaboration and developer ecosystem network for the Ethereum application layer
Odaily reported that the Ethereum Applications Guild (EAG), an Ethereum application consortium, has officially launched. As a global non-profit collaborative organization, its goal is to support the development of the Ethereum application ecosystem, advance its expansion from the infrastructure stage to the application layer, and operate around four main directions: promoting real-world application implementation, connecting cross-disciplinary ecosystem networks, establishing unified evaluation and development frameworks, and building sustainable funding mechanisms.
EAG adopts a dual-track system: first, a membership contribution system based on institutional scale (such as valuation, market capitalization, or AUM); second, a donation mechanism from staking yields, in which part of the ETH staking returns are channeled into the ecosystem growth fund. EAG also announced the 2026 Global Application & Developer Plan, which will include developer education, hackathons, and research projects, and will strengthen local developer community building through regional roadshows and ecosystem showcases.
