Polygon CDK launches a privacy upgrade based on Succinct
Foresight News reports that Polygon has announced the completion of a privacy feature upgrade for Polygon CDK. The upgrade adds a Validium configuration based on the Succinct SP1 Hypercube zero-knowledge proof system, allowing institutions to retain raw transaction data within their own infrastructure and submit only encrypted commitments and zero-knowledge proofs to Ethereum. This realizes "private data, public validation" while maintaining liquidity interoperability with Ethereum and other chains through AggLayer.
This upgrade provides five composable privacy levels, covering permissioned access, confidential chains (Validium), trusted execution environment (TEE), fully homomorphic encrypted tokens (FHE), and client-side zero-knowledge private transactions. It supports integration with enterprise identity systems such as Okta and Azure AD. The primary focus is on banks, payment companies, asset management institutions, and other traditional financial organizations planning to move onto the blockchain.
