Following the publication of the report, yields on Japan's 30-year and 40-year government bonds rose, as investors anticipated that the government would issue additional bonds to finance the supplementary budget. Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has repeatedly downplayed the likelihood of compiling a supplementary budget, believing that the government's existing funds are sufficient to cover the current fuel subsidies.
