Net sales of semiconductor systems in the second fiscal quarter reached $5.97 billion, in line with analysts' expectations. Net sales for the third fiscal quarter are projected to be between $8.45 billion and $9.45 billion, while analysts had expected $8.15 billion. Applied Materials (AMAT) shares rose 4% in after-hours trading on the US stock market.
