Strategy preferred stock STRC hits record single-day trading volume, with funds planned for the purchase of 11,707 BTC
According to a report by CoinDesk via Foresight News, Strategy's perpetual preferred stock STRC recorded a single-day trading volume of $1.53 billion on Thursday, setting a historical record and exceeding the average daily trading volume of approximately $331 million over the past 30 days by more than four times. The funds raised from this transaction were used through the ATM issuance plan to purchase 11,707 BTC.
STRC has an annualized dividend yield of 11.5%, distributed monthly in cash. As Friday was the ex-dividend date, STRC fell nearly 1% in pre-market trading to $99.12; meanwhile, BTC retraced to $80,500, and MSTR common stock dropped 2% in pre-market trading.
