AI-native bank Catena Labs completes $30 million Series A financing, with participation from a16z Crypto
Odaily reported that Catena Labs, an AI financial infrastructure company founded by Circle co-founder Sean Neville, announced the completion of a $30 million Series A funding round. The round was co-led by Acrew Capital and a16z crypto, with participation from Breyer Capital, General Catalyst, and QED, among others. Catena Labs focuses on building the infrastructure for “AI-native banking” aimed at enabling AI Agents to securely execute financial operations such as payments, transfers, and fund management. The company also announced that it has applied to the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) for a New York national trust banking license to support payment processing and client fund custody.
