The Trump administration has awarded $2 billion in grants to nine quantum computing companies in exchange for equity.

$1 billion will be given to IBM, chip manufacturer GlobalFoundries will receive $375 million, publicly traded companies including D-Wave Quantum, Rigetti Computing, and Infleqtion will each receive $100 million, and startup Diraq is expected to receive $38 million.
